This article will walk you through how to apply Custom Fields to the online booking engine.
First click on the Configuration tab.
Then choose Custom Fields and Dates
This will display a list of all your custom fields. To add a new custom field click on the Add New Custom Field in the top right.
The next step is to name the custom field. You can apply this to either the person or the reservation. You can flag as important, mark as required for the booking engine, and you can allow this to display on the booking engine. Make sure and save all your settings in the top right.
The next step is to click on the Booking Engine tab, and choose Custom Fields
Towards the bottom will display a list of all your custom fields. Now you have the option to not show the custom field on the booking engine, or show the field but allow guest to skip that step, or make it a requirement for guest to enter something in the custom field.
The Sort User Defined Fields will allow you to change the order that the custom fields display on your booking engine. If you make any changes make sure and save in the top right.
Now on the last step of your booking engine, the guest will see these custom fields displayed. If it’s a required filed they will receive a message displaying that this field is required.
When the reservation downloads into your cloud software the fields will display in the Notes & Details section of either the person or the reservation.
