Adding Hipcamp Connection Through rezStream Channels, Powered by Channex

Before You Begin

Before creating the connection in rezStream Cloud:

1. Email campgrounds@hipcamp.com and request that your property be connected with Channex.
2. Make sure you have an active Hipcamp account.
3. Have your Hipcamp Property ID ready. You’ll need this to establish the connection.

Where Do I Find My Hipcamp Property ID?

Your Property ID can be found in the Property Editor within Hipcamp. If you’re unable to locate it, contact Hipcamp for assistance.

Step 1 – Create the Hipcamp Channel

Once Hipcamp has connected your property with Channex:

1. In rezStream Cloud, navigate to Integrations > rezStream Channels.
2. From the Channels tab, click Create.
3. Complete the following:
   • Channel: Select Hipcamp.
   • Title: Enter your property name followed by Hipcamp, such as Property Name – Hipcamp.
   • Currency: Leave this set to Auto, or select a different currency if needed.
   • Hotel Code/Property ID: Enter the Property ID provided by Hipcamp.

Step 2 – Test the Connection

Once you’ve entered your connection information, click Test Connection.

A successful connection confirms that Channex can access your Hipcamp property.

If the connection is unsuccessful:

• Confirm that your Property ID/Hotel Code was entered correctly.
• Contact Hipcamp to confirm that your property has been connected with Channex.

Once you receive a Successful Connection message, continue to the Mapping tab.

Step 3 – Map Units and Rate Plans

From the Mapping tab:

1. Map your rezStream/Channex room types to the corresponding Hipcamp room types.
2. Map the applicable Rate Plans.
3. Confirm that all applicable room types and rate plans are mapped correctly before continuing.

Step 4 – Configure Channel Settings

Select the Channel Settings tab.

Here, you can adjust the rates sent to Hipcamp using either:

• A fixed dollar amount
• A percentage

You can increase or decrease your rates depending on your property's needs. If you don't need a Hipcamp-specific rate adjustment, leave these settings unchanged.

Step 5 – Save and Activate the Connection

Once your setup is complete:

1. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
2. If Save and Activate is available, select it to activate the connection immediately.
3. If you only see Save, return to the Channels tab.
4. Locate Hipcamp and select Actions > Activate.
5. Once activated, select Actions > Full Sync to send your current rates and availability to Hipcamp.

Step 6 – Set the Reservation Source

After activating the connection:

1. Click the Gear icon near the top-right of the rezStream Channels page.
2. Open the Channel Mappings tab.
3. Select the appropriate Source for Hipcamp.
4. Save your changes.

Reservations received through Hipcamp will now be associated with the selected source.

Need to Create a Hipcamp Source?

If Hipcamp isn't available as a source:

1. Navigate to Configuration > Source of Contact and Reason for Stay.
2. Select the Sources tab.
3. Click Add New Source.
4. Create a Hipcamp source and save your changes.
5. Return to Integrations > rezStream Channels > Gear icon > Channel Mappings.
6. Select the new Hipcamp source and save.

You're Ready to Go

Once the connection is active, mapped, synced, and assigned a reservation source, your Hipcamp connection through rezStream Channels is ready to use.
