Adding Hopper Homes Connection Through rezStream Channels, Powered by Channex

Before You Begin

Before creating the connection in rezStream Cloud, you'll need to set up your Hopper Hosting account:

1. Sign up for a Hopper Hosting Account.
2. You'll receive an email from Hopper Homes. Click Join Hopper Hosting and follow the prompts to create your password.
3. When asked if you're integrating with a PMS, select Yes.

Currency Requirements

Hopper Homes only supports US Dollar (USD).

If your property uses another currency, rates will automatically be converted to USD. Reservations received from Hopper Homes will also be in USD.

Step 1: Create the Hopper Homes Channel

Once your Hopper Homes account is ready:

1. In rezStream Cloud, navigate to Integrations > rezStream Channels.
2. From the Channels tab, click Create.
3. Complete the following:
   • Channel: Select Hopper Homes.
   • Title: Enter your property name followed by Hopper Homes, such as Property Name - Hopper Homes.
   • Currency: This will be set to US Dollar (USD).

Under Connection Settings, complete the following:

Minimum Stay Type

• Arrival: The minimum-stay restriction applies when the guest's arrival date falls on the restricted date.
• Through: The minimum-stay restriction applies if any night of the reservation falls on the restricted date.

Host Information

• Host Email: Enter the same email address used to create your Hopper Homes account.
• Host Name: Enter the host name associated with your Hopper Homes account.

Step 2: Create the Host

Once you've entered your connection information, click Create Host.

If the Hopper Homes account was configured correctly, the Mapping tab will become available.

If you receive an error, contact rezStream Support and your Hopper Homes account representative for assistance.

Step 3: Map Your Units

Once the Mapping tab is available:

1. Click Mapping at the top of the page.
2. For each Hopper Homes listing, select the appropriate rezStream Unit or Unit Type.
3. Verify the Base Capacity.
4. Repeat this process for each Unit or Unit Type you want to make available through Hopper Homes.

Step 4: Configure Your Hopper Homes Listings

After mapping your Units or Unit Types:

1. Click the Listings tab.
2. Locate the Unit or Unit Type you want to configure.
3. Click Actions > Edit.
4. Complete the listing information required by Hopper Homes.

Required listing details may include:

• Title and description
• Size in square feet
• Room and property type
• Property address
• Maximum number of guests
• Number of beds and bathrooms
• Amenities and rules
• Check-in and check-out instructions
• Check-in and check-out times
• Photos

Once you've completed the required information, click Save. 

Step 5: Activate Your Listings

After saving each listing:

1. Click Actions next to the Unit or Unit Type.
2. Select Activate.
3. Repeat for each listing you want available through Hopper Homes.

Each listing must be activated individually.

Step 6: Configure Channel Rate Adjustments

Click the Channel Settings tab if you'd like to adjust the rates sent to Hopper Homes.

Rates can be increased or decreased by:

• A fixed dollar amount
• A percentage

If you don't need a channel-specific rate adjustment, leave these settings unchanged.

Step 7: Save and Activate the Connection

Once you've finished configuring Hopper Homes:

1. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
2. If Save and Activate is available, select that option.
3. If you only see Save, return to the Channels tab after saving.
4. Locate Hopper Homes and select Actions > Activate.
5. Once active, select Actions > Full Sync to send your current rates and availability to Hopper Homes.

Step 8: Set the Reservation Source

Once the connection is active:

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner of the rezStream Channels page.
2. From the Channel Mappings tab, select the appropriate Source for Hopper Homes.
3. Save your changes.

This source will be associated with reservations received through Hopper Homes.

Adding a New Source

If you need to create a new source:

1. Navigate to Configuration > Source of Contact and Reason for Stay.
2. Select the Sources tab.
3. Click Add New Source.
4. Enter your Hopper Homes source and save your changes.
5. Return to Integrations > rezStream Channels > Gear icon > Channel Mappings.
6. Select the new source for Hopper Homes and save your changes.

Important: Don't Delete an Existing Hopper Homes Connection

Once a Hopper Homes channel has been created, do not delete it. Hopper Homes does not allow an existing account to reconnect after its channel has been deleted.

If the channel is deleted, you may need to create a new Hopper Homes account using a different email address before another connection can be established.

Also remember to always use the same email address with Channex that you used to sign up for Hopper Homes.

If you're having trouble with an existing connection, contact rezStream Support before deleting the channel.

Once the channel and individual listings are active, your Hopper Homes connection through rezStream Channels, powered by Channex, is ready to use.
