Sales by Channel Report
Learn how to run a Sales by Channel report in rezStream Cloud by using the Sales by Group report and grouping the data by Channels to view where Reservations and Sales are originating.
Sales reports will show you all of the items and reservations that have been entered into the system for the requested time frame. The primary difference in the different sales reports are how they are categorized.
The Sales by Channel report best run by utilizing the Sales by Group report and choosing to group the data by Channels. This will show you specifically which sales were created by you in your software (PMS), through the booking engine, or through third party booking services such as Booking.com
- Click the Reports tab in the left navigation menu.

- In the Reports menu, click the Sales section to expand the available report options.

- From the expanded list of Sales reports, select All Sales by Group, which is the first report in the list.

- On the right side of the report screen, select the Start and End Dates for the report.

- In the Group By selection box, make sure Channel is highlighted.

- Click the Preview button to generate and view the report.

- Click the + Signs within the report to drill down into additional report details. In the example below, an arrow points to the location of the + Sign.

Using the Sales by Group report with the Channel grouping option provides a clear breakdown of where your reservations and sales are originating. This makes it easy to compare booking sources and better understand how reservations are being created across your PMS, booking engine, and connected third party channels. This data can also be printed or exported for additional review and reporting purposes.
