Relax Minimum Stay Policy

To configure a Relax Minimum Stay Policy, navigate to the Booking Engine section and select Minimum Stay Policy

image-1

  • You can enable it or disable it.
  • You can specify how far into the future the system may relax minimum stay requirements. In the image shown above, minimum stay rules can only be relaxed for reservations occurring within the next 10 days. For reservations beyond that window, the standard minimum stay requirements will remain in effect. This allows the system to help fill gaps in availability for short-term bookings while preserving your regular minimum stay rules for future reservations.
  • You can either:
    • Reduce the minimum stay rule to match the number of available nights, which will maximize the length of stay when filling availability holes. (For example, if your standard minimum stay is 4 nights but only 2 nights are available between bookings, this option automatically reduces the minimum stay to 2 nights for those dates.)

OR

    • Completely waive the minimum stay rules and allow any length of booking for availability holes that normally have minimum stay rules. (For example, if the normal minimum stay is 4 nights but only a 2-night gap exists between bookings, guests can book either night individually or both nights together, with no minimum stay requirement.)
  • Please Note:
    • This Minimum Stay Policy setup does not apply to any of the OTA Channels.
    • Any minimum night restriction will only relax if the minimum stay requirement cannot be met, even when considering dates before or after the desired travel period. For example, if availability allows the two-night minimum to be satisfied such as by including the previous day, the restriction remains in place, and the setting will not adjust automatically.
