How to Create Rate Plans

This article explains how to create and configure a Rate Plan in Cloud PMS.

  1. Go to the Configuration page.

  2. Under the Rates, Taxes heading, click Rate Plans (Unit Types).

  3. Click the Add New Rate Plan button.

  4. Complete the fields on the Add New Rate Plan page:
    1. Create a plan plan name. 
    2. Assign a default revenue account.
    3. Assign a default tax group.
    4. Enter a rate plan description.
    5. Click Save. 


  5. After saving, click Add a Rate.

  6. Complete the fields on the Edit Rate Settings page.



  7. Click Save.
  8. Select the rate plan name.

  9. Click the Add a Season button.


    1. You have three options for defining seasonal rates:


      1. Same Rate for All Days *With this option, the rate remains the same regardless of the days of the week.
        1. Enter a season name and start date.
        2. Define the base rate, base capacity, and extra person charges.
        3. Click Save.

      2. Rates Vary by Weekday/Weekend
        1. Enter a season name and start date.
        2. Define weekend days using the drop-down menu.
        3. Set the base rate for midweek and weekend stays.
        4. Define the base capacity and extra person charges.
        5. Click Save.

      3. Rates Vary Daily
        1. Enter a season name and start date.
        2. Define rates by each day of the week.
        3. Click Save.
