Selling Gift Certificates Online

To sell gift certificates online through rezStream Cloud, enable the Sell Gift Certificates Online option in the Booking Engine settings, complete the Terms and Conditions tab, and share the generated link with your website team.

Before you begin, you must first create “Gift Certificates” as a payment type within rezStream Cloud by navigating to Settings > Payment Types and adding a new type named "Gift Certificates".

Once that prerequisite is complete, follow the steps below to activate and manage your online gift certificate sales.

1. Navigate to Gift Certificate Options
   1. Go to the Booking Engine tab on the left, then select Gift Certificate Options.
      
      
      
2. Enable Online Gift Certificate Sales
   1. Turn on the Sell Gift Certificates Online slider, then click the green Save Configuration button in the upper-right corner. 
   2. Copy the Gift Certificate link that appears and share it with whoever manages your website, so they can add it and allow guests to purchase gift certificates online.
      
      
      
      3. Configure settings

      1. Go to the Settings tab to customize the following options:

         • Page Title

         • Minimum gift certificate value

         • Incremental value

         • Confirmation letter (if applicable)

         • Gift Certificate Letter

         • Include a Fee item (optional)
      
      
      
3. Complete the Terms and Conditions tab
   1. Before gift certificates can be sold online, you must complete the Terms and Conditions tab.
   2. Use this section to outline your property’s rules and policies for gift certificate use. It acts as a safeguard for your business and ensures guests understand the terms before purchasing.
      
      
      
4. Add a Thank You Message 
   1. On the Thank You Message tab, enter a message that will appear after a guest completes a purchase and select the green Save Configuration button on the top right. This message will display in their browser as a confirmation page (you can also set up a separate confirmation email, if desired).
      
      
   Note: The confirmation letter must be created first under Configuration > Letters & Templates before you can select it here.
