Selling Gift Certificates Online

This article will walk you through how to set up and start offering gift certificates online using rezStream Cloud.

Before you begin, you’ll need to create “Gift Certificates” as a payment type within rezStream Cloud. Once that’s set up, follow the steps below to activate and manage your online gift certificate sales.

1. Navigate to Settings
   1. Go to the Booking Engine configuration section, then select Gift Certificate Options.
      
      
2. Enable Online Gift Certificate Sales
   1. Turn on the Sell Gift Certificates Online slider, then click the green Save Configuration button in the upper-right corner. 
   2. You’ll see a Gift Certificate Link highlighted in yellow. This is the link your webmaster will need to place on your website so guests can purchase gift certificates online. 
      
      
3. Complete the Terms and Conditions Tab
   1. Before gift certificates can be sold online, you must complete the Terms and Conditions tab.
   2. Use this section to outline your property’s rules and policies for gift certificate use. It acts as a safeguard for your business and ensures guests understand the terms before purchasing.
      
      
4. Add a Thank You Message 
   1. On the Thank You Message tab, enter a message that will appear after a guest completes a purchase. This message will display in their browser as a confirmation page (you can also set up a separate confirmation email if desired).
      
      
5. Configure General Settings

   1. Return to the Settings tab to customize the following options:

      • Page name

      • Minimum gift certificate value

      • Incremental value options

      • Confirmation letter (if applicable)

      Note: The confirmation letter must be created first under Configuration > Letters & Templates before you can select it here.
