How Cancellations and Modifications Work After Moving from MyAllocator to rezStream Channels
If you used to manage your reservations through MyAllocator and have now switched to rezStream Channels, here’s what you need to know about how cancellations and modifications are handled.
Cancellations
-
If a guest cancels a reservation, rezStream Channels will usually be able to find the original MyAllocator booking and cancel it for you.
-
These cancellations should appear automatically in rezStream Cloud.
Modifications
-
If a guest changes their reservation (such as dates or details), rezStream Channels creates a new reservation in your account.
-
You’ll still see the old MyAllocator reservation, so you’ll need to remove it to avoid a duplicate.
-
From that point forward, all future changes to the new reservation will update automatically.
Confirming Reservation Changes
You can confirm that cancellations or modifications have updated correctly by checking rezStream Cloud:
-
Open your Occupancy Map or check the Recent Reservations section on your rezStream Dashboard.
-
Look for the reservation in question.
-
Verify that:
-
A cancellation shows the booking as canceled.
-
A modification shows a new reservation with the updated details (dates, rates, or guest info).
-
The old MyAllocator booking has been removed (for modifications).
-
If something doesn’t look right, contact our support team and we’ll confirm the update for you.
