Managing Seasonal Closures
If your property is closed for a period of time each year, you’ll want to ensure that guests cannot book during those dates. Below is an overview of how the system handles seasonal closures and how to block off units as needed.
Closing Seasons
When you close seasons across your Rate Plans, the system will:
-
Show a $0 rate on the Occupancy Map for internal users.
-
Show units as Unavailable (not $0) on the Booking Engine, so guests cannot make reservations during the closed season.
Note: Even when seasons are closed, team members can still create reservations on the Occupancy Map. This is intentional, as the map allows overrides for special cases.
Blocking Units as Out of Service
If you prefer not to see $0 rates on the Occupancy Map and instead want the units to display as Out of Service, you can mark them accordingly. This will also ensure they appear as Out of Service in your reports.
There are two ways to do this:
-
Click and Drag on the Occupancy Map
-
Select the dates you want to block.
-
Choose Out of Service.
-
-
Use the “New” Button
-
Click New (top left of the Occupancy Map).
-
Choose Reservation/Out of Service.
