rezStream Channels Configuration

As a rezStream Channels user, you can easily make a variety of changes to enhance your management experience.

To get started, just click on Integrations → rezStream Channels and check out the following new features:

Channel Tenant Settings: 

To access Channel Tenant Settings, click the gear icon in the upper right corner.

In the Setting tab, you must fill the required information.

  • Notification Emails: You can now customize who receives email notifications whenever a reservation is made, modified, or cancelled.
  • Allow Bookings Between: Adjust the booking window to better fit your needs (default is 1 and 365 days).
  • Same Day Booking Window:  Enter "0" in the Allow Booking Between field to set your same-day booking cutoff time or select "All Day" to keep the booking window open.
  • Max. Length of Stay: Set your maximum length of stay.




In the Invoice Rules tab, you can edit guest types.

  • Guest Types: During your rezStream Channels onboarding, adults, children, and pets (if applicable) will be automatically mapped based on your booking engine settings. If shorthand labels are used, manual adjustments will be required. If you add new guest types later, you'll need to assign them to the closest matching category: adults, children, or pets. 

Go back to the main rezStream Channel page and let's go through each tab.

1. Units

  • Mapping and Rate Adjustments: Review your unit and rate mappings that are in place to promote on your associated channels. If you need to apply rate adjustments at the unit level (by dollar or percentage), please reach out to Support for assistance. 
    • To map a new channel's room type, click the "Add New Channel Room Type" button on the right. Then, enter the Title reflecting the OTA unit name, select the Mapped Units and/or Mapped Unit Types, choose the rate plan by clicking the "Add Rate" button, and press the Save button once complete.

     

2. Availability Rules

  • Close, Reduce or Limit Availability: You can close, reduce, or limit availability sent through rezStream Channels by creating an Availability Rule. These rules can be customized based on specific dates, days of the week, room types, and distribution channels. 
    • To apply a channel availability rule, go to the Availability Rules tab and click the Add New Channels Availability Rule button. Complete the required fields, and once finished, click Save in the upper right corner.

3. Channels Tab

  • Channel Mapping: Map newly connected channels and view your currently mapped channels.
    • To connect a new channel, click the Create button, then select your desired channel from the "Channel" dropdown. In the "Title" field, enter your business name. Next, complete the Connection Settings. Fields may vary depending on the channel. Once finished, click Save

    • After saving, navigate to the Mapping tab to sync your configured units from rezStream to the new channel. If you need to add new room types or rate plans, you can make adjustments in the Units tab before finalizing your setup. 

  • Channel Rate Adjustments: Modify rates by dollar amount or percentage for all mapped units.

     
    • To make adjustments, select the "Actions" dropdown, click "Edit," go to the "Channel Settings" tab, adjust the "Rate Logic" dropdowns as needed, and press the "Save" button once complete.

Packages, Taxes & Fees:

Please be aware that packages, taxes, and fees are managed within the channel’s extranet and are not transmitted through rezStream Channels. As a result, when OTA reservations import into rezStream, the fee amounts are combined into the first invoice line item rather than itemized separately. This method ensures the invoice total matches the guest charge or payout reported by the OTA.
