Blocking, Reducing, or Closing Units via rezStream Channels

At times, you may want to remove, limit, or reduce availability for certain unit(s) on your connected OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) for a period of time. This can be easily managed in rezStream by creating an availability rule through rezStream Channels.

What is an Availability Rule?

An availability rule controls how availability is shared with your connected OTAs (e.g., Expedia, Booking.com, Airbnb).

  • The affected unit(s) will not appear as bookable on the selected OTA(s) during the date range you define.

  • The rule does not affect your Booking Engine or Occupancy Map. Guests can still book directly through your website, and you will continue to see the unit internally.

  • Availability rules are highly flexible and can be:

    • Applied to specific dates or certain days of the week.

    • Set for any length of time (days, weeks, months, or even a year).

    • Edited or removed at any time.

This makes availability rules ideal for both completely removing a unit from OTAs or limiting OTA exposure while still keeping the unit available for direct bookings.

How to Create an Availability Rule

  1. Navigate to the Integrations tab.

  2. Select rezStream Channels.

  3. Go to the Availability Rules tab.

  4. Create a rule for the date range, units and channels you want to restrict.

Example: If you want to keep a unit off all OTAs for an extended period of time but still allow guests to book it directly on your website, create an availability rule covering that date range.
